Wildlife success stories Our conservation team and volunteers work tirelessly to help protect local wildlife on our farms. If you would like to help us to do more wonderful work for local wildlife, you can join us as a CRT Friend or buy a Friendship as a gift: Join the CRT Stories from our farms Here we'd like to share with you some amazing stories from our farms this year, where we are making a huge difference for wildlife: Lapwings on the rise We are delighted that out lapwing population at Lark Rise Farm in Cambridgeshire is now well established, having just celebrated our best breeding season to date. Read on Dormice homes on our farms Thanks to kind donations towards materials, our volunteers are building 20 wildlife boxes for hazel dormice to help them thrive. Read on Water voles are back It has been fantastic to see water voles make a return to our rivers, thanks to the hard work of conservation teams to enable them to survive. Read on Barn owl fledgling delight Fledglings are a welcome sight at Bere Marsh Farm. Thanks to donations, we were able to restore the dilapidated barn owl barn on the farm in 2020.
