Are your little explorers ready for a stay and play farm adventure?!

The CRT are delighted to offer a 6 week programme of enriching outdoor play sessions for 2-4 year olds in Tankersford Wood at Pierrepont Farm in Frensham, Surrey.

The woodland setting provides a safe and soothing environment for children to explore the great outdoors. Each week children will enjoy an animal themed story from much loved children’s authors such as Julia Donaldson (The Gruffalo, Superworm, What the Ladybird Heard….). They can then head off to explore the many self-led play stations on offer. These include:

  • Craft table
  • Mud kitchen
  • Minibeast hunting zone
  • Small world play – Farmyard & minibeasts
  • Throwing games
  • Herb wall & flower garden
  • Story den
  • Animal sort wall

All activities are designed to engage and delight your little ones whilst broadening their understanding of farm and woodland animals and habitats.

Animal loving children will adore meeting our Jersey cows and calves and seeing how they’re milked whilst kids with boundless energy and an adventurous spirit will have great fun navigating our newly installed natural play area. Our Stay and Play sessions have something for every child to enjoy!

Every session is led by our education officer, Gerry Turner, who is a qualified teacher, DBS checked and First Aid trained.

Further information:

We appreciate that parents may have children under the age of two (2) with them so we welcome one (1) infant sibling (or a pair of twins) to accompany them free of charge. However please note that we do not provide entertainment or activities for the Under Twos age group and that the parent/carer must be able to supervise all of the children they bring.

The maximum number of paid for places you can book (per adult) is two (2).

Pierrepont Farm is a working dairy farm with live animals, cattle grids, tractors and other farm vehicles so caution must be taken when on site.

Parking is available at the Old Dairy, just a 5 minute stroll from the woodland.

The Old Dairy is home to a variety of artisan businesses.  Why not pop down for a coffee or lunch at Craft Brews or browse the mid-century furniture at Finntage? There’s also a craft cheesemaker, two jewellery makers, illustrator and a Windsor chair maker.  Definitely worth a visit.

Farm facilities include:

  • Hand sanitisers
  • Baby Changing
  • Toilets (includes disabled)
  • Handwashing station

*ticket price supports our vital conversation work developing a wider biodiversity and ecosystem across CRT sites.
