Yesterday (Tuesday 18 May 2021) we were delighted to welcome radio and TV crews at Bere Marsh Farm. The CRT will be featured on BBC TV South on Thursday and BBC Radio Solent/Dorset talking about the farm and our fabulous new project for Bees, all on World Bee Day.

All in all, Tuesday was a busy day with the two crews as we had to work at a brisk rate to get all the filming and interviewing in before the predicted heavy rainstorms came blowing in. It all worked brilliantly and just in time with Elaine Spencer White, Bere Marsh Farm Manager, the last to be interviewed by the TV reporter, James Ingram, as the first of the raindrops began falling.

All being well, there will be broadcast packages going out on Radio Solent/Dorset in their breakfast show on Thursday, with the TV package being broadcast through the day on BBC South. We’re also keeping our fingers crossed that BBC Radio Four’s early morning Farming Today programme will carry a piece on Thursday as I have spoken to their producer who then requested it from Radio Solent.

Bere Marsh was on BBC South Today on 25 May 2021 and can be viewed:
