Compost in a bottle! 

Compost a mixture of rotted-down vegetables, leftovers, leaf, cuttings - anything that will decompose. Adding compost to your soil with add the nutrients from the waste back into the soil! 

This is great and convenient way to create your own compost if you do not have a garden but want to add extra nutrients to your plant pots! 

How to make your own:

• Cut off the top section of the bottle.
• Use a trowel to fill the bottle with approximately 4cm of soil.
• Add a layer of vegetable peelings / leftovers.
• Repeat this layering with 2cm of soil and the same depth of vegetable peelings / leftovers.
• Add another 2cm layer of soil.
• Place a handful of shredded paper into the bottle.
• Add another 2cm layer of soil.
• Add a large handful of fresh grass cuttings.
• Spray the contents of the bottle lightly with water.
• Re-attach the top of the bottle using some wide brown tape.
• Place your bottle in a warm sunny spot and leave for 6 weeks.
• Once the contents have broken down and created dark crumbly compost, remove the bottle top and dig the compost into your soil.
