Engagement Volunteers: The Barn at Bere Marsh Farm

Building a relationship with the local community

We have recently launched The Buzz, a pop-up coffee trailer in the Barn at the idyllic Bere Marsh Farm in Dorset. The Buzz is open on weekends and serves Dorset-roasted Eco Coffee and delicious, locally sourced sweets and savouries. Our aim at the Barn, is to create a community space for people to enjoy, getting closer to the countryside while finding out more about our conservation and regenerative farming initiatives at Bere Marsh Farm and across the CRT.

To help raise awareness of the CRT during busy times in the Barn, we are looking for volunteers to help us for a few hours each weekend when the Buzz is open (9am-4pm). Your time would be spent, saying hello to people on the trailway as they pass, chatting to people about Bere Marsh Farm and the CRT, handing out the Lark magazine and helping at the Buzz in busy periods, if something needs doing like a quick refill of the dog water bowl. Training and guidance will be provided and a free coffee for each shift.
