Mosaic Holiday Club

Mosaic Holiday Club is a brand-new kids club for 5-11 year olds, based at the CRT’s Pierrepont Farm in Frensham, Surrey.

This outdoor holiday club runs during half terms and the Easter and summer school holidays. It has been designed to engage children with the great outdoors, farming and wildlife!  We offer children an action-packed day of activities aimed at deepening their understanding of nature by exploring the woodland, pond and river habitats at the farm.  Each holiday club includes a fascinating dairy cow discovery experience where children will meet the Jersey dairy herd and discover how they are milked by robots. Mosaic Holiday Club is led by our Education Manager, Gerry Turner, who is a qualified primary school teacher. Her wildlife experience includes working as a presenter at ZSL Whipsnade Zoo and developing a visitor education centre at at a wildlife rehabilitation sanctuary in Perth, Australia.  She is DBS checked and First Aid trained.

We keep our numbers low to be in line with Ofsted ratios and provide a high-quality experience. There are just eight spaces per day for 8-11 year olds and six spaces for 5-7 year olds.

Easter Holiday Club

We are running 2 holiday clubs this Easter – a full day for 8-11 year olds and a half day for 5-7 year olds.

Date Age Time Price
Tuesday 5th April 8-11 years 9.30am - 3.30pm £30
Tuesday 12th April  5-7 years 9.30am - 12pm £15

We have designed a fun-packed Easter farm trail where children will search for Easter egg challenge cards around our cow barn, woodland, pond and river and carry out  ‘make it’, ‘find it’, ‘do it’ tasks, themed around nature and farming.  Each task successfully completed will reveal a clue to the location of a golden egg containing a special surprise.

Booking Information

Please book your tickets via the link below, once purchased please complete the booking form below.

Tuesday 5th April - 8-11 years   Tuesday 12th April - 5-7 years

Health & Safety: As a working farm the children will need to be aware of moving vehicles, such as tractors, as well as other hazards such as the River Wey which runs alongside the farm.  The land is undulating and there are gates and cow grates to negotiate, please be aware of this when booking.  If your child is afraid of cows, we’d suggest this might not be the holiday club for them! We will do a risk assessment for each session and will provide the children with a health and safety briefing at the start of every day.

Covid-19 Safety: We are compliant with government guidelines relating to covid and provide handwashing facilities and hand sanitisers around the site.  To safeguard everyone’s wellbeing and safety we ask parents not to send their child if they present with a high temperature, continuous cough or loss of taste or smell on the day of the visit of within 7 days prior to the visit.

What to wear and bring: We advise that children wear clothing that reflects the weather conditions.  We will be outdoors!

In the winter we advise wearing warm layers, waterproofs, thick socks, gloves, and hats.  In the summer bring a light raincoat in case of showers, a sunhat and sun cream. We will not apply the sun cream to the children, so please make sure they can do it themselves.

Please wear appropriate footwear.  In wetter months we recommend that children bring a pair of wellies to change into.   Walking boots or sturdy trainers are good for summer months (if it’s dry).

Please bring snacks, water and a packed lunch if staying all day (no nuts please).  All waste should be taken home with you.

Other: To help us manage each child’s physical and emotional needs during the visit we ask parents to complete a screening questionnaire prior to the visit.  This will be e-mailed once a booking has been made.

*ticket price supports our vital conversation work developing a wider biodiversity and ecosystem across CRT sites.
