WELCOME TO TO OUR FARM

Welcome to Birkdale Farm! A 300 acre working family farm in the heart of the Howardian Hills National Landscape where arable crops are grown, 150 breeding NZ Romney sheep graze species rich grassland and a Countryside Stewardship agreement helps us to support rare and beautiful arable plants, wildflowers, farmland birds and protect soil and water. Wildlife abounds, explore on foot, bicycle or horse on the many public rights of way. Stay in our spacious holiday cottage and be captivated by the gentle sound of Tawny owls at night and the star filled dark skies.

Come and fish in our coarse fishing lake, holiday with your horse, join us for a course or event, relax and switch off in our holiday cottage or volunteer with us!
Birkdale Farm is a haven for wildlife and all our farming practices nurture biodiversity. It is a place where people can network ‘slowly’ in person. We have a wealth of experience to share and the natural environment here inspires artists and wildlife experts. There are many public rights of way which criss cross through the farm so you can enjoy being here in your own time or through one of our events. If you wish to stay longer then we have a self-catering barn available for hire.
