Pierrepont Education

In light of the ever changing situation regarding the Covid-19 outbreak and following the Government advice, we have suspended all education visits to our farms and will not be taking any new bookings until further notice.

Jessica Jersey Pierrepont Education Education is at the heart of the CRT. We are passionate about providing young people with learning experiences which re-connect them with nature and foster a lasting love and understanding of our wonderful countryside. We offer full and half day school visits for 1 class (approx. 30) primary school children per day on our educational farms.

Pierrepont Farm is a dairy farm boasting an award winning pedigree herd of Jersey cows and a state of the art dairy, complete with robot milking parlour. In addition to extensive pasture, the farm is home to a thriving wildlife pond and extensive wooded area.

We are constantly working on improving our educational offering. We are in the process of improving Pierrepont Farm teaching facilities. These upgrades will be completed by Autumn 2020. Please get in touch if you would like to visit prior to Autumn 2020 and we will work to accomodate your class.

What We Do

The CRT promotes nature-friendly farming to help reverse biodiversity decline and combat climate change. We believe nature is integral to good farming and we protect, promote and regenerate our land and all life on it. We put our philosophy into practice on over 2,000 acres of working farms, small-holdings and woodland across England.
Slow-worms – the gardener’s best friend

The UK has 6 native reptile species including the curious slow-worm (Anguis fragilis). Although serpent-like in appearance, slow-worms are in fact limbless lizards and an amazing example of de-evolution.

The CRT has a wide range of wonderful properties across the UK. Many of these have been left to us in legacy whilst others were purchased to save the land - full of precious ecosystems and habitats - from intensive farming.
