Himilayan Balsam Bashing

Do you want to protect species from extinction? Do you want to support the regeneration of wildlife and nature? Or maybe you want to create a better future?

Our conservation volunteers play a crucial role in our efforts, without their dedicated work we would not be able to complete the vital work we need to do developing a safer, brighter future for all.

As a conversation volunteer, you will be getting ‘down and dirty’ across the sites, from planting trees, hedges and wildflowers, to constructing bat/bird boxes to provide safe habitats, to clearing invasive weeds like ragwort, bracken or balsam.

There will be other manual site maintenance tasks that you will be needed for such as dry stone walling, building & repairing gates and fences and restoring and maintaining access paths.

We have paused our volunteering programme for now, but are excited to be relaunching it next Spring in 2022. Volunteers are so very important to the CRT and if you are interested in joining us next year, we would love to hear from you. Please register to let us know and we will get in touch with you in the New Year.
