Summer Family Wildlife Walks

Every Friday throughout the summer holidays we invite you to come along for a free family friendly wildlife walk around Bere Marsh Farm, Dorset, for some summer wildlife spotting, and to learn how the farm is managed for the benefit of wildlife.

You'll also get the chance to:

  • Explore our new orchard, learn about the bee hives.
  • Hear birdsong as you walk down the tree-lined Old Railway Line - now the Angela Hughes Nature Reserve.
  • Spot dragonflies and damselflies next to the River Stour.

If you're lucky, you may even catch a glimpse of a slow worm or get the chance to see some of the marvellous moths we capture in our moth trap (weather permitting).

Children will be given a spotter sheet each to keep them busy along the way!

Meet outside the CRT office at Bere Marsh Farm at 2pm. The walk will finish at the Dutch barn where we will have simple refreshments available to enjoy and a display table of fascinating wildlife objects to talk about.
