Get your kids outside and learning about nature with this simple activity!

Create daily challenges that add educational value to your daily exercise!

It's simple!

  • Cut your A4 paper in half lengthways to create the cuffs.
  • Put two lines of double-sided sellotape along the longest sides of your paper
  • Put a short line of double-sided sellotape along one of the shorter edges - this is how you will fasten it.
  • Wrap the piece of paper with the sticky side facing outwards.
  • Challenge your children to collect a variety of different shaped leaves, types of flowers or even items that match specific colours!

Be careful and considerate when choosing items for your nature cuffs. You should not pick or uproot any plants on private land or protected areas such as SSSI's. Pick only one flower out of every twenty. If there are fewer than 20 you should leave them. You should not pick protected species. We recommend choosing plants in your garden or petals and leaves that have already fallen off.
