Over the years our wildlife monitors and volunteers have surveyed different species and species groups, such as hazel dormouse, breeding birds and butterflies, across some of our flagship properties.

We are now developing a new and comprehensive environmental audit and monitoring plan that will take forward work to date and ensure we have a baseline on habitats, habitat condition, and the state of important species across CRT holdings.

This will be across three themes: soil, water and wildlife. Data we have already collected at Lark Rise, for example, enables us to assess trends in important species and adjust land management with a view to improving conditions for habitats and species at risk locally and nationally.

Can you help with environmental monitoring on a CRT property?
