Great Woodpecker

Is nature your calling? Do you love bird watching? Are you interested in learning about insects?

Then our wildlife monitoring opportunities are perfect for you!

You’ll join our expert wildlife monitors on walks around our properties to monitor the native and migratory species, many of which are at risk. Our Wildlife Monitoring Officers have a wealth of knowledge to share and will support you every step of the way.

The systematic monitoring of animals and plants on our farms is vital to monitor the effectiveness of our efforts, for example if numbers increase then we can continue the work that we are doing, if numbers drop, we will need to investigate the cause.

The benefits of our methods are reflected in the numbers of rare or scarce species recorded across our 18 sites, as well as through the awards that we have won.

We have paused our volunteering programme for now, but are excited to be relaunching it next Spring in 2022. Volunteers are so very important to the CRT and if you are interested in joining us next year, we would love to hear from you. Please register to let us know and we will get in touch with you in the New Year.

If you’re not able to volunteer, you can still help us achieve our vision
