A next door neighbour of Pierrepont Farm, the Rural Life Centre is a museum exhibiting and celebrating everything country and rural life. It holds examples of farming implements and machinery dating back over 150 years!

Across the sites are realistic displays of historic rural life. Just some of the highlights:

  • Henry’s Yard – where the museum began – you can find a Wealden iron furnace, the blacksmiths forge and depictions of domestic interiors room from both the Victorian age and the 1930s.
  • Churt Building includes a shepherding exhibition and a video explaining the history of the museum
  • A variety of buildings that host old farming machinery including wagons and ploughs from counties across England.
  • Wood Yard processes felled trees which are used in museum and projects.
