Escape to the Lodge at Turnastone Court Farm to enjoy the tranquil beauty of Herefordshire’s Golden Valley. The Lodge is in an idyllic spot with stunning views, giving you complete seclusion and access to glorious countryside. You’ll stay on a working farm, nestled alongside the River Dore with 247 acres of land, including a large expanse of precious water meadows, some of which have not been ploughed for over 400 years. The space

With room for ten people, this is a space you’ll fall in love with. The Lodge has four bedrooms and four bathrooms, with large communal areas both inside and out in the private garden and a fully fitted kitchen. There’s room to bring the whole family …… including the dog. Your four-legged friends are very welcome at The Lodge, and will no doubt love the countryside walks much as you do.

Perfect for a visit in any season, you can cosy up around the wood-burning fire after a day in the countryside or relax in the sunshine on the terrace. The enclosed terrace also has a BBQ and a fire-pit to enjoy.

Enjoy all the inspiring culture that England and Wales have to offer in this beautiful corner of the countryside, such as Hay-on-Wye’s book shops and Literature Festival, which are only a 20-minute drive away.

Interest groups such as yoga, walkers and sports are very welcome, but we do not accommodate hen or stag parties. The Lodge can accommodate a maximum of 2 dogs.

Thanks to money raised in our Twelve Gifts of Christmas campaign, we were thrilled to buy new withies to plant in our osier beds at Bere Marsh Farm. These willows will help provide important habitat for wildlife.

What We Do

The CRT promotes nature-friendly farming to help reverse biodiversity decline and combat climate change. We believe nature is integral to good farming and we protect, promote and regenerate our land and all life on it. We put our philosophy into practice on over 2,000 acres of working farms, small-holdings and woodland across England.
Slow-worms – the gardener’s best friend

The UK has 6 native reptile species including the curious slow-worm (Anguis fragilis). Although serpent-like in appearance, slow-worms are in fact limbless lizards and an amazing example of de-evolution.
