Volunteer with the CRT Help us regenerate the countryside Would you like to help wildlife and create a landscape bursting with life? To enjoy quiet time connecting with nature to benefit your wellbeing, or to get stuck into exciting conservation projects with a friendly team? To learn new skills or develop existing ones? Whatever motivates you to consider volunteering, we’d love to have you in our team."We've loved being volunteers at Bere Marsh for the past two years. There's so much to learn and the group we work with are very welcoming. Highly recommended." "Bere Marsh volunteers are a great group of talented, friendly people. I look forward to Fridays to get involved in all sorts of tasks about the farm. Never a dull moment, lots of conversations and laughter … oh .. and hard work!" Find your nearest farm We are recruiting volunteers on eleven of our farms across the UK. Every property has different habitats, from arable fields to wildflower meadows and from woodlands to lakes. As a volunteer you can enjoy these beautiful landscapes and help us manage them in a way that supports an increasing variety of wildlife. Register to volunteer The perfect role for you As a CRT volunteer you will play a vital part in helping us to protect, promote and regenerate the countryside. There are many ways to get involved and we will provide all the training and support you need. Conservation Wildlife Monitoring Would you love to work with a team of like-minded people and help us to create ideal habitats for wildlife? Join one of our work parties that carry out important conservation projects like planting trees and wildflowers or restoring ponds. You could also learn rural skills like coppicing and hedge laying. Passionate about birds, bats, insects, wildflowers, fungi or reptiles? Help us monitor their numbers by carrying out surveys on your local CRT farm. The data you gather will help us plan how to manage the landscape in order to protect wildlife and to demonstrate the affects of nature-friendly farming techniques. Engagement Corporate volunteering We have recently launched The Buzz, a pop-up coffee trailer in the Barn at the idyllic Bere Marsh Farm in Dorset. To help raise awareness of the CRT during busy times in the Barn, we are looking for volunteers to help us for a few hours each weekend when the Buzz is open (9am-4pm). Your time would be spent informally chatting to visitors in The Buzz café and along the Trailway about the work of the CRT at Bere Marsh Farm.
