Our Farms & Woodland

Nature is integral to good farming, and it’s a philosophy we’re putting into practice at over 2,000 acres of working farms, small-holdings, and woodland. We are steward to 17 properties across the UK, each with its own approach to sensitive land management, conservation projects and nature-friendly farming practices, all aimed at reversing the decline in biodiversity. 

Our farms are diverse. Some are already models of nature-friendly farming, while others have ambitious plans and work underway to increase their ecology. Many are rural hubs for exercise, learning, arts, crafts, and markets; places you can enjoy a family day out, or even stay for a relaxing break in the countryside.

Volunteering

We are recruiting volunteers across our farms. Every property has different habitats, from arable fields to wildflower meadows and from woodlands to lakes, that need help to be maintained for wildlife. Find out more about volunteering opportunities near you.

Follow the Countryside Code

When visiting our properties or spending time in the countryside, remember to be considerate and follow the countryside Code:

• Be considerate to those living in, working in, and enjoying the countryside
• Leave gates and property as you find them
• Do not block access to gateways or driveways when parking
• Be nice, say hello, share the space
• Follow local signs and keep to marked paths unless wider access is available
